How to compare slots properly

Three numbers do most of the work when you compare slots, and each one hides a trap. Read them in this order and the table above tells you far more than any single score.

RTP

Higher is better, a little

Return to player is the long-run share of stakes a game pays back. The gap between 96.0% and 96.5% is real but small, and many games ship in several RTP versions, so the figure at your casino can be lower than the one the studio publishes. Always check the game’s info screen.

Max win

Check the basis first

A maximum win is a multiple of your stake, but studios measure it differently. Amusnet quotes most of its classics per line bet, while Pragmatic Play quotes per total bet, so 1,000× line bet and 5,000× total bet are not directly comparable. We only name a winner when both use the same basis.

Volatility

A preference, not a score

Low volatility pays small wins often; high volatility goes quiet for longer and pays bigger when it lands. Neither is better. Pick the one that suits your budget and patience, then play the free demo to feel it for yourself.

Which slots can I compare?
Every slot we have reviewed in full, currently 84 from 4 studios. Games without a full review are not in the tool because we only compare numbers we have checked. You can still play all of them free in All Slots.
Where do the numbers come from?
From our reviews. Each RTP, max win and volatility figure is taken from the studio’s own documents and checked against independent slot databases before the review is published.
Why does a slot say “Not published”?
Some studios do not publish every figure for every game, especially older titles. When that happens we leave the cell empty rather than fill it with an estimate.
Can I share a comparison?
Yes. The page address updates as you pick slots, so you can copy it and send it to anyone.
