The Le Vampire demo runs the real game on play credits: the same 6×5 cluster grid, the same Golden Squares, the same coins and clovers, and all three bonus rounds. Demo credits have no cash value, cannot be withdrawn, and reset when you reload the page.
The demo is also the only place you can be reasonably confident which RTP you are seeing. This game ships in five builds between 97.57% and 86.27%, and the one a casino licenses is its own choice — the demo here is not a guarantee of what you will find elsewhere.

Le Vampire slot at a glance
How the game plays
A six reel by five row grid paying by cluster rather than by line. Hacksaw gives the win type as Cluster on its own page and the API records six reels; the 6×5 shape comes from the game’s information screen.
Cluster pays here are unusually generous at the top of the table. A cluster of 14 or more royals (J to A) pays 50×. Regular high-pay symbols at the same size pay 75× to 100×, and their Epic versions pay 150× to 200×. Those are real numbers rather than the decorative 1× and 2× that most of this batch offers, and they matter because the Epic upgrade is a bonus-round mechanic.
The published hit frequency is 34.94%, which is low — roughly one paying spin in three. That is the tension in the game: a medium volatility rating and an exceptional RTP sitting on top of a grid that pays about a third of the time, because when it does pay, the collection layer can turn one cluster into a grid-wide sweep.
The story behind the game
Le Vampire arrived on 1 October 2026, the fourth of six Hacksaw releases in a three-week run, and the only one of the six carrying a Halloween theme — which placed it in the market exactly four weeks before the date.
It is also the only one of the six that Hacksaw certified at five RTP builds instead of four, and the only one with a figure above 97% anywhere in the list. Whether that reflects confidence in the game or simply a wider set of operator options is not something the studio says.
Symbols and paytable
Two paytables are really at work here: the cluster values, which are high by this studio’s standards, and the coin values revealed by Golden Squares, which is where the ceiling lives.
| Royals (J to A), cluster of 14+ | 50× the bet |
|---|---|
| Regular high pays, cluster of 14+ | 75× to 100× |
| Epic high pays, cluster of 14+ | 150× to 200× |
| Bronze Coin | 0.2× to 4× |
| Silver Coin | 5× to 10× |
| Gold Coin | 20× to 50× |
| Diamond Coin | 100× to 500× |
| Green Clover | multiplies adjacent coins, Bags and Pots by x2 to x20 |
| Gold Clover | multiplies every coin, Bag and Pot on the grid by x2 to x20 |
| Bag of Gold / Pot of Gold | collects adjacent 3×3 positions / collects everything applicable on the grid |
The combination to look for is a Gold Clover and a Pot of Gold on the same grid: every coin multiplied by up to x20, then all of them swept into one payout. With Diamond Coins worth up to 500× each, that is the only sequence that gets anywhere near 15,000×.
Bonus features and free spins
Wins become Golden Squares, and Rainbows open them
Every winning cluster turns its positions into Golden Squares. They do nothing on their own. A Rainbow symbol activates them, revealing Coins, Green Clovers, Gold Clovers, Bags of Gold or Pots of Gold underneath. The base game is therefore two-stage: you spend clusters building a board, and then wait for the symbol that cashes it in.
Two clovers, two scopes
A Green Clover multiplies coins, Bags and Pots adjacent to it by x2 to x20. A Gold Clover does the same to every one of them on the grid. On a 30-position board with Diamond Coins worth up to 500×, the difference between adjacent and global is the difference between a good spin and the best one the game has.
Bags collect nearby, Pots collect everything
A Bag of Gold collects coin values from the adjacent 3×3 block around it, including other activated Bags and Pots. A Pot of Gold collects everything applicable on the grid. Because clovers multiply before collection, the order in which these reveal is what decides the size of the payout.
Epic Rainbows, and the Blood Rain they can trigger
An Epic Rainbow reveals Special symbols on every position on the grid at once. It can also trigger Blood Rain, which highlights all positions as Blood Squares. Blood Squares work like Golden Squares with one deliberate exception: they never reveal Bronze Coins, the 0.2× to 4× tier. It is a cleaner board, not just a bigger one.
Three bonus rounds, each building on the last
Three scatters give Coffin Break: 10 free spins where high-pay wins upgrade matching symbols to Epic for the rest of the round, plus a Symbol Bar whose levels award extra spins and Rainbows. Four scatters give Love At First Bite: the same, but Golden and Blood Squares stay highlighted after activation. Five give the hidden round, Do Your Fang: Love At First Bite with a guaranteed Rainbow or Epic Rainbow every spin, and all coins worth a minimum of 1×.
- 97.57% on the top build is exceptional — comfortably the highest figure in Hacksaw’s recent catalogue and well above the broad industry average.
- Cluster pays that actually pay. 75× to 100× for a 14-symbol high-pay cluster, and 150× to 200× for its Epic version, is far above the token base-game values the rest of this batch offers.
- A 15,000× ceiling on a 3/5 volatility game is an unusual combination, and the collection layer rather than raw variance is what makes it possible.
- Blood Squares remove the Bronze tier, which is a genuinely thoughtful piece of design: the upgrade improves the floor of the board rather than only its ceiling.
- Three bonus rounds that stack properly. Each one keeps the previous round’s rules and adds to them, so the hidden tier is a real escalation rather than a reskin.
- 96.36%, not 97.57%, is the default build, and independent databases list it as the one casinos most often run. The headline figure is real but it is not what you are most likely to be playing.
- A 34.94% hit frequency is low for a medium-volatility game — about one paying spin in three, and plenty of those will be small clusters that only build Golden Squares rather than paying anything much.
- Five RTP builds down to 86.27% is the widest ladder of the six, at over eleven percentage points top to bottom.
- The two-stage base game can stall. Clusters build Golden Squares, but without a Rainbow nothing opens them, and a run of spins that builds a board and never cashes it is the game’s most frustrating failure mode.
- The Rainbow Epic Drop buy costs 500× the stake, the most expensive feature buy of these six releases by a wide margin.
How Le Vampire compares
Against the cluster games we have already reviewed, and against the Hacksaw release that shares its 15,000× ceiling but almost nothing else.
| Game | Studio | RTP (top build) | Volatility | Max win | Grid |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Le Vampire | Hacksaw Gaming | 97.57% | Medium (3/5) | 15,000× | 6 × 5, cluster |
| Fist of Destruction Megamultiplier | Hacksaw Gaming | 96.23% | High (5/5) | 15,000× | 5 × 4, 14 lines |
| Reactoonz | Play’n GO | 96.51% | Very high (10/10) | 4,570× | 7 × 7, cluster |
| Sugar Rush | Pragmatic Play | 96.50% | High (5/5) | 5,000× | 7 reels, cluster |
Le Vampire is the outlier on two columns at once: the highest RTP and the lowest volatility rating in the table, on the joint-highest ceiling. That is only possible because the collection layer does the work variance usually does — the big wins come from sweeping a multiplied board, not from a rare cluster landing.
Le Vampire RTP, volatility and max win
Le Vampire is published at more than one RTP. Five builds rather than the usual four, and this is the one game in Hacksaw’s recent run where the gap between the headline and the reality is worth stating plainly: 97.57% is genuinely outstanding, but independent databases list 96.36% as the default and the setting most operators license. Treat 97.57% as the best available version rather than the one you are likely to meet, and check before you assume.
| 97.57% | the top build — exceptionally high, and the one Hacksaw leads with |
|---|---|
| 96.36% | the default, and by most accounts the build casinos actually run |
| 94.30% | three points below the top build |
| 92.31% | five points below the top build |
| 86.27% | eleven points below the top build — avoid |
97.57% is the top of five certified builds. The others are 96.36%, 94.30%, 92.31% and 86.27%. Hacksaw’s own game page rounds these to 97%, 96%, 94%, 92% and 86%; the exact figures come from the game’s information screen, and the independent databases that track Hacksaw releases agree on all five.
The honest caveat belongs here rather than in a footnote. 96.36% is listed as the default build, and the one most operators license. 97.57% is a real, certified setting and it is the figure Hacksaw leads with, but finding it in the wild is a different matter. Even 96.36% is a shade above the broad video-slot average, so this is a well-returning game at either setting — it is simply not a 97.57% game everywhere.
The in-game information screen is the only place the active figure appears. On a ladder this wide, it is worth the ten seconds.
Bets, bankroll and session planning
Stakes run from 0.05 to 50 per spin according to the game’s information screen — the lowest maximum of the six Hacksaw releases in this run, which on a 15,000× game keeps the theoretical top payout within ordinary limits.
Five feature buys are offered where regulation allows, and they are priced across an unusually wide range: BonusHunt FeatureSpins at 3× the bet, making each spin five times more likely to trigger; Coffin Break at 60×; Rainbow Bite FeatureSpins at 75×, guaranteeing a Rainbow or Epic Rainbow with a minimum 1× coin value; Love At First Bite at 250×; and Rainbow Epic Drop FeatureSpins at 500×, guaranteeing an Epic Rainbow. Feature buys are prohibited in the UK and several other markets.
Playing on mobile
A 6×5 cluster grid is a demanding shape for a phone, and this is the game of the six where the small screen costs you most. Thirty positions, each of which may be a plain symbol, a Golden Square, a Blood Square or a revealed coin with a multiplier attached, is a lot of state to read at portrait width.
It works — the coin tiers are colour-coded clearly enough that bronze, silver, gold and diamond stay distinguishable — but this is the one title here that genuinely rewards a larger screen. If you only have a phone, leave turbo off so the reveal sequence plays out at a readable pace.
Five things to know before you spin
- The Rainbow is the symbol that matters, not the cluster. Clusters only build Golden Squares; nothing is paid out of them until a Rainbow activates them.
- A Gold Clover is worth several Green ones. Green multiplies adjacent coins by up to x20, Gold multiplies every coin on the grid by the same amount. On a full board the gap is enormous.
- Watch for a Pot of Gold arriving after a clover. Coins are multiplied before collection, so a Pot that reveals late sweeps a board that is already boosted.
- Blood Rain is an upgrade to the floor. Blood Squares never reveal Bronze Coins, so the whole board moves up a tier rather than simply getting bigger.
- Do not assume 97.57%. The default build is 96.36% and that is what most casinos run — the in-game information screen is the only place the active figure is stated.

Who this slot is for
For players who like cluster games with a collection layer and want the best published return in Hacksaw’s current catalogue. If Sugar Rush or Reactoonz is your reference point, this is a slower, richer version of that idea with a far higher ceiling and a far better RTP, and the 3/5 volatility rating means it will not punish a modest balance the way those two can.
It is less suited to anyone who wants immediate feedback. One paying spin in three, and most of those building a board rather than paying it out, makes this the most patient game of the six. It is also the hardest to read on a phone.

Our verdict on Le Vampire
The best game of the six, with one number that needs reading twice
Le Vampire is the most complete thing Hacksaw released in this three-week run. The two-stage base game — clusters build Golden Squares, Rainbows open them — gives a cluster slot something most of them lack, which is a reason to care about a win that pays almost nothing. The clover-and-collection layer on top produces the rare grid-wide sweep that justifies a 15,000× ceiling without needing a 5/5 volatility rating to get there. And the cluster values themselves are real money: 150× to 200× for a 14-symbol Epic cluster is not a token.
The caveat is the RTP, and it is worth stating twice. 97.57% is genuine, certified and published, and it would be among the highest figures on any slot we have reviewed. But the default build is 96.36%, and the databases that track these things say that is what casinos actually license. 96.36% is still above the industry average and this would still be a good game at that setting — it simply is not the headline.
A 34.94% hit frequency and a busy 6×5 board make it the most patient game of the six and the hardest to read on a phone. Neither stops it being the one to play first.
