Sweet Loot slot by Pragmatic Play — game artwork

The Sweet Loot demo is Pragmatic Play’s newest release, out on 29 October 2026, and it is the candy-and-tumbles format the studio has been refining since Sweet Bonanza — with one structural change worth understanding. The multipliers no longer land on the main grid. They sit on a separate four-position row above it, which means the thing that decides the size of a win is physically separated from the thing that creates the win. The headline numbers are good: 96.53% RTP, medium volatility, and a 10,000× ceiling. The caution is the RTP ladder underneath. Two lower builds exist at 95.49% and 94.50%, the casino picks which one you get, and nothing on screen tells you. On a game that pays roughly once every 3.55 spins, that choice is invisible in the moment and expensive over a session.

Pragmatic Play · Pragmatic’s scatter-pays candy line, the format that began with Sweet Bonanza and now includes Sugar Rush and Sweet Bonanza Super Scatter, all reviewed here. Sweet Loot adds a separate top row that holds the multipliers.

More on the figures above. The 96.53% default RTP, the 95.49% and 94.50% alternative builds, the medium volatility, the 10,000× maximum win, the 29 October 2026 release date, the scatter-pays format and the two buy prices are carried by SlotCatalog and AboutSlots independently, which agree on all of them. The per-mode RTP figures — Ante Bet 1 at 96.52%, Ante Bet 2 at 96.58%, Super Spin 1 at 96.51%, Super Spin 2 at 96.52%, the 100× buy at 96.57% and the 500× buy at 96.50% — come from AboutSlots alone. The 28.17% hit frequency is SlotCatalog’s. Pragmatic’s own game page for this title was not live at the time of writing, so none of these figures carries the studio’s direct confirmation. The sources also describe the grid differently — 6×5 with an extra row over reels 2–5, 6×5 with a 4-position top row, and 6×6 — which are most likely the same layout counted two ways. SlotsLaunch max_win_per_spin, max_bet and min_bet are mis-populated upstream and are never read.

How the game plays

There are no paylines. Eight or more matching symbols anywhere on the 6×5 grid form a win, they clear, and new symbols drop into the gaps. Tumbles continue with no stated limit for as long as each drop keeps producing a win. The row above the grid is where multiplier symbols land, carrying values from 2× up to 500×. Scatters pay directly in the base game — four, five or six of them return 3×, 10× or 100× the base bet — and they also open the free spins. Super Scatters are a separate symbol that appears only on the top row of reels 2 to 5, and a bonus triggered with at least one of them upgrades to Super Free Spins.

The story behind the game

Sweet Bonanza established this shape for Pragmatic in 2019: scatter pays, tumbling reels, multiplier bombs in free spins. Sugar Rush added a grid that remembers where wins happened. Sweet Bonanza Super Scatter, reviewed here at 95.56%, introduced the upgraded scatter. Sweet Loot takes that Super Scatter idea and gives the multipliers somewhere of their own to live. It arrives alongside Chests of Cai Shen Infinity in the same week, the studio’s usual release cadence, with Killer Night listed for 2 November.

Symbols and paytable

The specification as the independent listings carry it. Pragmatic’s own page for this title was not live when this was written, so every row below is third-party.

The retrigger rule is the quietly generous part. Three scatters is a lower bar than the four needed to start the round, and five extra spins at a time on an unlimited tumble engine is how the long sessions in this format happen.

Bonus features and free spins

✖

Multipliers live on their own row

This is the structural change. Values from 2× to 500× land on a four-position row above the grid rather than among the symbols. The multiplier is therefore decoupled from the win it multiplies — a big tumble with an empty top row pays flat, and a modest tumble under a 500× does not.

🍬

Super Scatters, and the round they unlock

Super Scatters appear only on the top row of reels 2 to 5. Trigger the bonus with at least one and the whole round upgrades to Super Free Spins. It is a second tier of bonus hidden inside the first, and which one you get is decided at the moment of triggering rather than by anything you do afterwards.

💰

Scatters that pay before they trigger

Four, five or six scatters return 3×, 10× or 100× the base bet in the base game, in addition to opening the free spins. That 100× for six is a real base-game outcome, not a bonus award, and it is the main reason the hit rate reads as high as 28%.

💵

Two buys, and the cheaper one returns more

100× the bet buys a random Free Spins or Super Free Spins round at a listed 96.57%; 500× guarantees Super Free Spins at 96.50%. The expensive buy returns seven hundredths of a point less. You are paying five times the price to remove uncertainty, not to improve the odds — the usual shape, stated plainly.

⚠

Four special bet modes, all at roughly the same RTP

Ante Bet 1 and 2 and Super Spin 1 and 2 are listed at 96.52%, 96.58%, 96.51% and 96.52%. Every one lands within seven hundredths of a point of the default. They buy variance and trigger frequency, not edge. Note that the sources disagree on what each mode costs, so treat the prices as unconfirmed.

What we like

  • 96.53% on the default build, half a point above the 96% reference and the best of the three certified settings.
  • A 10,000× ceiling that every source checked agrees on, with no dispute to pick through.
  • Multipliers up to 500× on a dedicated row, stacking on top of an unlimited tumble sequence.
  • Scatters pay in the base game, up to 100× base bet for six, which is a real return and not just a trigger.
  • A 28.17% hit frequency, roughly one win every 3.55 spins, which is genuinely frequent for this format.
  • Every special bet mode sits within 0.07 of a point of the default RTP, so none of them quietly costs you edge.
What to watch

  • Three certified RTP builds — 96.53%, 95.49% and 94.50% — and the casino chooses, with nothing on screen to say which you have.
  • Pragmatic’s own game page was not live when this was written, so every figure here is third-party rather than studio-confirmed.
  • The 500× buy returns less than the 100× buy, at 96.50% against 96.57%.
  • The sources describe the grid three different ways — 6×5 with an extra row, 6×5 with a 4-position top row, and 6×6.
  • The special bet prices are not agreed between listings, which makes the modes hard to cost before you open the game.
  • It is the fourth game on this template, and the top row is the only part that is genuinely new.

How Sweet Loot compares

Against the three Pragmatic scatter-pays candy games already reviewed here. The RTP column is the default build in each case.

Sweet Bonanza 100096.53%High25,000×Scatter pays
Sugar Rush96.50%High (5/5)5,000×Scatter pays

Sweet Loot sits at the gentle end of its own family. It matches Sweet Bonanza 1000 on RTP but carries less than half its ceiling, and it is the only one of the four rated plainly medium. That is a coherent design rather than a weakness: a shorter top end bought with a higher hit rate.

Sweet Loot RTP, volatility and max win

Sweet Loot is published at more than one RTP. Three certified builds and the casino chooses. On a medium-volatility tumbling game that hits roughly once every 3.55 spins, a two-point cut is not felt as one missing big win — it is felt as a balance that drains steadily while the game looks exactly the same. The information screen is the only place that says which build you are on.

96.53%the default build, and the stated maximum
95.49%a point down
94.50%two points below the default

96.53% is the default and it is a good figure — half a point above the 96% reference, and a touch ahead of Sweet Bonanza’s 96.48%. The problem is that it is one of three. SlotCatalog and AboutSlots independently list alternative builds at 95.49% and 94.50%, and which one a casino runs is the casino’s decision, not yours. Two points of RTP is the difference between a game that drifts down slowly and one that drifts down twice as fast, and on a medium-volatility tumbler it is completely invisible while you play: the same symbols, the same tumbles, the same hit rate of roughly one in 3.55 spins. The information screen inside the game is the only thing that answers the question. The per-mode figures are more reassuring than usual. Ante Bet 1 is listed at 96.52%, Ante Bet 2 at 96.58%, Super Spin 1 at 96.51% and Super Spin 2 at 96.52% — a spread of seven hundredths of a point across all four. The buys sit in the same band, 96.57% for the 100× and 96.50% for the 500×. Two things follow. First, none of these modes is a trap; they change how often the bonus arrives and how violent the swings are, not the long-run edge. Second, the expensive buy is marginally the worst of them, which is worth knowing before paying five times as much for certainty. On volatility, every source says medium and the structure supports it. A 28.17% hit frequency is high, the scatters pay directly in the base game, and the ceiling is 10,000× rather than the 20,000×-plus its siblings carry. This is the steady one in a family of wild ones.

Bets, bankroll and session planning

Listed at $0.20 to $240 a spin. Four special bet modes sit on top of that — two Ante Bets and two Super Spins — but the listings disagree on what each costs, so no price is stated here as fact. Their RTP figures are given above and are all within a rounding error of the default.

Playing on mobile

Portrait-first, like the rest of Pragmatic’s recent output, and the demo above runs in a phone browser with no app and no download. The extra top row is the thing to watch on a small screen: it is where the multipliers land, and it is the first thing a narrow viewport compresses.

Five things to know before you spin

  1. Check the information screen before anything else. Three builds exist at 96.53%, 95.49% and 94.50%, and only that screen says which one this casino serves.
  2. Watch the top row, not the grid. The multipliers land there and nowhere else, so a large tumble with an empty row is worth far less than it looks.
  3. The 100× buy returns more than the 500× buy. 96.57% against 96.50% — the expensive one buys certainty, not value.
  4. Super Free Spins are decided at the trigger. Whether the round upgrades depends on landing a Super Scatter to start it; nothing during the round changes that.
  5. Six scatters pay 100× base bet on their own. That is a base-game outcome worth knowing about, separate from the free spins they award.
  6. The special bet modes do not improve your edge. All four sit within 0.07 of a point of the default, so they change the ride, not the destination.

Who this slot is for

For players who like the Sweet Bonanza format but find the 1000-series too violent. The medium rating is honest here — frequent hits, a 10,000× rather than 25,000× ceiling, and a bonus that arrives often enough to be part of the session rather than the whole point of it.

Sweet Loot demo and slot FAQ

Can I play the Sweet Loot demo for free?
Yes. The demo on this page runs the full game on play credits — the same tumbles, the same top-row multipliers and the same free spins. No account, no deposit, no download.
What is the RTP of Sweet Loot?
96.53% on the default build. Two lower certified versions exist at 95.49% and 94.50%, and the casino chooses which one it runs. Check the in-game information screen, because nothing else on screen tells you.
What is the maximum win?
10,000× your total bet, agreed by every source checked. One listing puts the odds of reaching it at roughly one in four million spins.
How many paylines does it have?
None. It is a scatter-pays game — eight or more matching symbols anywhere on the 6×5 grid form a win, which then tumbles away and is replaced.
What are Super Free Spins?
An upgraded bonus round. Super Scatters appear only on the top row of reels 2 to 5, and if the free spins are triggered with at least one of them the whole round becomes Super Free Spins. It is decided at the trigger, not during the round.
How much is the bonus buy?
100× the total bet for a random Free Spins or Super Free Spins round, or 500× for a guaranteed Super Free Spins round. The cheaper buy is listed at the higher RTP of the two, 96.57% against 96.50%.
How big can the multipliers get?
Up to 500×, landing on the four-position row above the main grid. They do not appear among the symbols themselves, which is what separates this game from the rest of the family.
Is Sweet Loot better than Sweet Bonanza?
It returns a little more on the default build, 96.53% against 96.48%, and it hits more often. Sweet Bonanza has roughly twice the ceiling at 21,100×. Which is better depends on whether you want the frequent version or the volatile one.

Our verdict on Sweet Loot

7.5/ 10

The steady one in a family built on excess

Pragmatic has made this game four times now, and the interesting question is what each version changes. Sweet Loot moves the multipliers off the grid and onto a row of their own, which sounds cosmetic and is not: it means the size of a win and the fact of a win are decided by two separate things, and watching the top row becomes the whole experience. Around that sits a sensible, slightly conservative build — 96.53% on the default, a hit roughly every 3.55 spins, scatters that pay on their own, and a 10,000× ceiling that is less than half what Sweet Bonanza 1000 offers. Medium volatility is the right label, and it is the thing that distinguishes it in a family where everything else has drifted toward the extreme. Two cautions, neither of them about the game design. The first is the RTP ladder: three certified builds, two of them meaningfully worse, chosen by the casino and invisible on screen. The second is that Pragmatic’s own page for this title was not live when this review was written, so every figure here rests on two independent listings rather than on the studio. They agree with each other, which is the best available evidence, but it is not the same as confirmation. Open the information screen before the first spin and you will know more about what you are playing than any page on the web can currently tell you.
