The King Kong Cash demo is the free, no-signup version of Blueprint Gaming’s May 2016 release — a 5×3, 20-line arcade machine with four random modifiers and five separate bonus rounds. It runs 95.79% RTP, medium volatility and a ceiling of just 1,000×. That last number is the point: this is a game built to keep paying you small amounts, not to hand you a life-changing one.

Play the King Kong Cash demo free
The King Kong Cash demo runs the real game on play money: the same twenty lines, the same four Kong modifiers, the same five bonus rounds. No download, no account, no deposit.
Demo it to find out which bonus you keep landing. With five different features behind one scatter trigger, two players can have completely different impressions of the same game — and the free spins rounds feel nothing like the pick rounds.

King Kong Cash slot at a glance
How the game plays
The board is a conventional five reels by three rows with 20 paylines, paying left to right. There are no cascades and no ways-to-win.
What makes it move is everything bolted on top. Four modifiers fire at random during ordinary spins, turning symbols wild, adding barrels or holding symbols for a respin. Three or more scatters opens a wheel that lands on one of five different bonus rounds.
It is, structurally, a British pub fruit machine rebuilt for a browser — which is exactly what Blueprint set out to make.
The story behind the game
King Kong Cash arrived on 10 May 2016 and became one of Blueprint’s defining online titles, partly because it already felt familiar: the studio’s games are a fixture of UK arcades and betting shops, and this one plays like one of those cabinets.
Blueprint has returned to it repeatedly — Even Bigger Bananas, Go Bananas, and a Jackpot King edition that bolts the studio’s progressive layer on top. The Jackpot King version is a different game with a different return; this review is the original.
Symbols and paytable
Twenty fixed lines, a straightforward symbol ladder, and a scatter that opens the door to five different rounds.
| Paylines | 20, paying left to right from reel one. No ways-to-win, no cluster rules. |
|---|---|
| Scatter | Three or more triggers the bonus wheel, which selects one of five rounds. |
| Banana Cannon Wilds | Random modifier: Kong fires bananas that turn a selection of symbols wild. |
| Golden Barrel Super Spin | Random modifier: a barrel lands on the middle reels and explodes, adding more barrels. |
| King Kong Spin Streak | Random modifier: after a win, symbols are held and a respin follows. |
| Bonus Boost | Random modifier: adds extra scatters, improving the odds of reaching a bonus round. |
| Barrel Blast Bonus | Pick barrels to match symbols for multiplier prizes. |
| Big Monkey Bonus | Spin barrels for up to 500×, then pick bananas for extra spins, to a 1,000× total cap. |
The two free spins rounds — Golden Kong and Empire — both award ten spins, the first on 40 paylines and the second with advancing levels.
Bonus features and free spins
Four random modifiers
Banana Cannon Wilds, Golden Barrel Super Spin, King Kong Spin Streak and Bonus Boost all fire without warning during ordinary spins. They are the reason the base game rarely feels flat, and they are the main thing separating this from a plain 20-line slot.
Five bonus rounds behind one trigger
Three or more scatters opens a wheel that lands on one of five features. You do not choose, which means the trigger is the same but the payoff varies enormously — a pick round and a free spins round are very different outcomes.
Golden Kong and Empire Free Spins
Two separate free spins rounds, both awarding ten spins. Golden Kong runs them across 40 paylines rather than the usual 20; Empire advances through levels as you play.
Big Monkey Bonus
Spin barrels for up to 500× the bet, then pick bananas for additional spins. The whole round is capped at 1,000× — which is also the game’s overall maximum win.
A collect-or-gamble ladder
Several rounds let you bank what you have or push for more. It is the most arcade-machine thing in the game and the place most sessions are actually decided.
- Five distinct bonus rounds behind one trigger keeps a familiar board from going stale.
- Medium volatility and four random modifiers mean the base game pays regularly enough to be enjoyable rather than endured.
- The feature set is legible: every modifier announces itself, and every round explains what it is doing.
- A 20p entry point makes it genuinely playable at small stakes, which suits the maths.
- No bonus buy, so the rounds keep their value.
- 95.79% is well below the modern average, and ManySpins lists a 95.45% version as well.
- A ceiling of 1,000× is very low. Even at the maximum £200 stake the best possible outcome is £200,000, and realistically you are playing for far less.
- No published hit frequency from any source, so there is no honest way to quantify how often the base game pays.
- Which of the five bonus rounds you get is chosen for you, so the trigger you worked for can land on the one you least wanted.
- The Jackpot King edition shares the name and has a different return — easy to end up on the wrong one.
How King Kong Cash compares
King Kong Cash against the other Blueprint games we have reviewed, and against the modern alternatives.
| Game | Studio | Lines | Max win | RTP | Volatility |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| King Kong Cash | Blueprint | 20 | 1,000× | 95.79 | Medium |
| Fishin’ Frenzy Even Bigger Fish | Blueprint | 10 | 10,000× | 95 / 93 / 92 | Medium |
| Crabbin’ For Christmas | Blueprint | 10 | 2,500× | 95 / 93 / 92 | Medium |
| Wolf Gold | Pragmatic Play | 25 | 2,500× | 96.01 | Medium |
| Fluffy Favourites | Eyecon | 25 | 5,000× | 95.39 | High |
Blueprint’s own Fishin’ Frenzy Even Bigger Fish offers ten times the ceiling at a comparable return, which puts King Kong Cash’s 1,000× in perspective. What you get in exchange is five bonus rounds instead of one.
King Kong Cash RTP, volatility and max win
King Kong Cash is published at more than one RTP. Blueprint is unusual in publishing its RTP ladders openly for many games, by build ID. For this title the sources are less tidy — OLBG lists 95.79%, ManySpins lists 95.45%. Either way the figure sits below the modern average, and the information screen inside the game is the only place your casino’s build is written down.
| 95.79% | The figure OLBG records, and the one most UK casinos run. |
|---|---|
| 95.45% | A lower version listed by ManySpins. Blueprint routinely ships several certified builds of a title, so treat the headline as the best case. |
95.79% is the figure OLBG records. ManySpins lists a 95.45% version, and Blueprint routinely ships several certified builds of a title — its Fishin’ Frenzy games are published openly as 95/93/92 ladders by build ID. Treat 95.79% as the best case rather than the only case.
Either way it sits below the modern average. On a medium-volatility game you will be playing a lot of spins, and a point of RTP compounds across all of them. The information screen inside the game shows your build.
Bets, bankroll and session planning
Stakes run from 20p to £200 a spin, though the top of that band varies by casino. Given a 1,000× ceiling and medium volatility, this is a game that suits the lower half of its own range.
Playing on mobile
A 20-line, five-reel board is easy to put on a phone and this one is fine, but the bonus rounds are where it counts — the barrel picks and the trail bonus both need room, and both scale down without losing their readability. The modifiers announce themselves clearly enough that you never miss one.
Five things to know before you spin
- Treat the scatter as a lottery between five rounds. One trigger can produce a pick game or a free spins round, and you do not choose. A short demo may only show you one or two of them.
- Check the RTP build. OLBG records 95.79% and ManySpins lists 95.45%. Blueprint commonly ships several certified versions, so the headline is the best case.
- Stop pushing the gamble ladders near the top. The whole game is capped at 1,000×, including the Big Monkey Bonus, so there is a point past which you are pushing against a ceiling.
- Play it for the modifiers, not the ceiling. Four random features fire during ordinary spins and that is the game’s real appeal. 1,000× is very low by modern standards.
- Make sure you are on the right version. King Kong Cash Jackpot King shares the name, adds a progressive and has a different return.

Who this slot is for
For players who want an arcade machine rather than a maths puzzle — frequent modifiers, varied rounds, no enormous number at the end. If you are chasing a ceiling, this is firmly the wrong game.

Our verdict on King Kong Cash
An arcade machine that knows exactly what it is
King Kong Cash is not trying to compete with modern ceiling-chasers and it would be a poor review that judged it as though it were. Four random modifiers and five bonus rounds give a plain 20-line board more variety than most games twice its age, and medium volatility means you actually get to see them.
The costs are real. 95.79% is below the modern average and a lower build is listed elsewhere; the 1,000× ceiling means the upside is capped long before it gets interesting; and nobody publishes a hit frequency for it.
Worth playing if you want the fruit-machine rhythm rather than a number to chase. If it is the number you want, Blueprint’s own Fishin’ Frenzy Even Bigger Fish offers ten times the ceiling for a comparable return.
