A forty-line EGT Digital board with expanding wilds, two separate scatters and a Clover Chance Mystery Jackpot. The mechanics are well documented by the studio.
The numbers are not. No RTP, no volatility rating and no maximum win are published for this game by anyone — not EGT, not the databases. That is unusual even by this studio’s standards, and it is the single most important thing to know before you decide whether to play it for real money.

Given that none of the usual figures exist for this title, the demo below is worth more than it normally would be. A few hundred play-money spins will tell you more about how the game actually behaves than anything written about it online, including this review. This demo is part of our free EGT Digital slots collection.
40 Burning Roll slot at a glance
More on the figures above. This game publishes no RTP, no volatility rating and no maximum win — anywhere. Not on EGT Digital’s own page, and not on any slot database we could find; the aggregators that cover the studio carry its siblings (40 Shining Roll at 96.51%, 40 Super Roll at 96.51%) but not this title. Everything below is taken from the studio’s official game page, which documents mechanics in detail and numbers not at all. Be careful with figures you find elsewhere under similar names: 40 Burning Roll, 40 Shining Roll, 40 Super Roll and 40 Burning Hot are four different games, and the last of those is built by a different company.
How the game plays
Five reels, four rows, 40 fixed paylines. The studio states the format as “4 x 5” and the pay mode as “40 Fixed” — the same board it uses for 40 Burning Clover, 40 Clover Hit, 40 Crown Hot and 40 Dazzling Hot.
The feature set is short and entirely official. An expanding Wild: the studio’s own description says “Expanding Wilds and powerful Scatters heat up every spin”. Two scatters, listed separately as Scatter 1 and Scatter 2 — the twin-scatter arrangement EGT uses across its classic ports. And the Clover Chance Mystery Jackpot.
There is no free-spins round listed, no multiplier, and no collection meter. What the studio does list alongside the features are the interface options it ships across the whole range: Autoplay, Turbospin, Quick Spin, Multi-denomination, Battery Saver Mode and Left Hand Mode.
On a 5 × 4 board a wild that fills its reel converts four positions at once, which on forty lines is a substantial share of the grid. With no bonus round to carry the game, that expansion is where its better spins come from.
The story behind the game
Released 6 April 2026, one of seven EGT Digital titles that went out together — alongside 100 Joker Hit, 20 Joker Hit, 20 Super Power, 40 Shining Rainbow, 5 Burning Roll and Super Power Bell Link Boost. That batch remains the studio’s most recent release in the game feeds.
The Burning Roll family follows EGT’s usual pattern: one game, five line counts. 5, 10, 20, 40 and 100 Burning Roll all exist, and 5 Burning Roll shipped on the same day as this one.
The naming is where this range becomes genuinely confusing, and it is worth being explicit about it. 40 Shining Roll is a different game (96.51% RTP, 5,000×, released February 2026). 40 Super Roll is a different game again. 40 Burning Hot is a different game built by a different company — Amusnet, the former EGT Interactive. Four similar names, four separate titles, and search results move figures between them freely.
Symbols and paytable
No pay values are published. What follows is what the studio states about the symbols, and one thing it conspicuously does not state.
| The expanding Wild | Named in the studio’s own feature list and in its description. It fills its reel; on four rows that is four positions turned wild in one landing. No reel restriction is published, so we are not claiming one. |
|---|---|
| Scatter 1 and Scatter 2 | Listed as two separate symbols on the official page, both shown by name and image with no rules text. The twin-scatter arrangement is a house convention — 40 Burning Clover, 100 Burning Clover and 100 Crown Hot all use it. Neither scatter is documented as opening a round. |
| Dice and the classic luck symbols | The Roll series dresses the standard EGT ladder in dice artwork. No values are published anywhere; the in-game paytable is your authority. |
| No free spins, no multiplier | Neither appears on the official page. Worth saying out loud, because 40 Shining Rainbow — released the same day, on the same board, at the same line count — does publish a free-spins round. The two are a matched pair with opposite feature sets. |
With no bonus round and no multiplier, the expanding wild is carrying the entire game. That is a thinner design than the studio’s Bell Link titles, and it is the reason the Mystery Jackpot matters more here than it would elsewhere — it is the only thing that can produce an outsized result.
Bonus features and free spins
Expanding Wilds
Officially stated twice on the studio’s page. A wild that fills its reel on a 5 × 4 grid turns four positions into helpers at once, and across forty lines that compounds quickly. No reel restriction is published.
Two scatters, not one
The page lists Scatter 1 and Scatter 2 as separate symbols. EGT uses this pairing across its classic ports. No pay values are published for either, and neither is documented as triggering a round — on this range they typically just pay from anywhere.
Clover Chance Mystery Jackpot
The studio names it and credits it with “explosive win potential”, and then says nothing further. No tiers, no levels, no values and no trigger condition are published. On the studio’s other Clover Chance games the feature fires at random and awards one of four progressive levels; whether this one does the same is not stated here, so we are not stating it.
The interface options
Autoplay, Turbospin, Quick Spin, Multi-denomination, Battery Saver Mode and Left Hand Mode, all shipped as standard. The last two are the useful ones on a phone and both are buried in the settings menu.
- The mechanics are documented by the studio itself, which is more than can be said for the figures — the expanding wild and twin scatters are confirmed on EGT Digital’s own page.
- An expanding wild on a 40-line board is a genuinely productive combination; four positions turned wild feed a large share of the paylines at once.
- A free demo makes the missing numbers survivable. You can establish how the game behaves for yourself without staking anything.
- Battery Saver and Left Hand Mode are properly useful on a phone and ship as standard across the range.
- No RTP is published, by anyone. That is the headline objection. You cannot compare this game to anything on the most important single number.
- No volatility rating and no maximum win either. Three of the four figures a player would normally check simply do not exist for this title.
- No free-spins round. Its same-day sibling 40 Shining Rainbow has one; this does not.
- The Mystery Jackpot is undefined. The studio names it and describes none of it — no tiers, no trigger, no values.
How 40 Burning Roll compares
Against the other forty-line EGT Digital games reviewed here, this one sits in the half of the range that publishes nothing — which is a larger half than you might expect.
| Game | Studio | RTP | Volatility | Max win | Bonus round |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 40 Burning Roll | EGT Digital | Not published | Not published | Not published | None — jackpot only |
| 40 Burning Clover | EGT Digital | Not published | Not published | Not published | None — jackpot only |
| 40 Clover Hit | EGT Digital | Not published | Not published | ×3–5 multiplier | None |
| 40 Crown Hot | EGT Digital | 95.98% | Medium | 5,000× | None |
| 40 Shining Crown Bell Link | EGT Digital | 96.5% | Medium-High | 1,200× | Bell Link, four tiers |
The pattern is clear enough. EGT Digital’s Bell Link titles publish figures; its Clover Chance and classic-port titles mostly do not. If you want a forty-line EGT game whose numbers you can actually check before playing, 40 Shining Crown Bell Link is the one on this list — a published RTP, a published ceiling, and a jackpot with stated tiers.
40 Burning Roll RTP, volatility and max win
There is no published RTP for this game. EGT Digital does not state one on its own page, and we could not find one on any slot database — which is unusual, because the aggregators do carry figures for its close siblings.
That gap matters, and it matters more than the missing ceiling. A maximum win tells you about one rare outcome; the RTP tells you what the game does over every spin you will actually play. Without it there is no way to compare this title to anything, including the other four builds of itself.
What we can say is where EGT Digital’s published figures sit when it does publish them: roughly 95.9% to 96.5% across its range. 40 Shining Roll and 40 Super Roll — different games, same family of names — are both listed at 96.51%. That is context, not a figure for this game, and it should not be treated as one.
The practical advice is simple. Open the information screen before your first spin. Whatever RTP your casino is running will be printed there, and on this title that screen is the only source in existence.
Bets, bankroll and session planning
Stake levels on EGT Digital games are set per operator and the studio publishes no range for this title. The Multi-denomination option is listed among its features, which means the coin value is adjustable in the game rather than fixed by the lobby.
All forty lines are staked on every spin; there is no line-count control. There is no feature buy either, and with no bonus round there would be nothing to buy — the only way to reach the Mystery Jackpot is to keep spinning and let it arrive.
Given that the RTP is unknown, the sensible approach is to treat this as a game you sample rather than one you commit a bankroll to. Play the demo, decide whether the expanding wild produces enough to be worth it, and if you do move to real money, read the information screen first.
Playing on mobile
Runs in the browser on a phone with no download and no app. The 5 × 4 grid holds up in portrait, and the expanding wild is large enough to read without zooming. Battery Saver Mode and Left Hand Mode both ship as standard and are both worth enabling — they are in the settings menu, not offered at launch.
Five things to know before you spin
- Read the RTP off the information screen before anything else. It is the only place the figure exists for this game. No database carries it.
- Do not import numbers from the similar names. 40 Shining Roll, 40 Super Roll and 40 Burning Hot are three different games, and the last one is not even the same company.
- Play the demo properly before staking. With no published volatility, a few hundred play-money spins is the only way to find out whether the game is steady or spiky.
- Expect no bonus round. If you want free spins on this board from the same studio and the same release day, 40 Shining Rainbow has them.
- Treat the Mystery Jackpot as undefined. EGT names it and publishes nothing about how it works, so do not assume it behaves like the Clover Chance feature in the studio’s other games.

Who this slot is for
This suits someone who likes EGT’s classic boards, plays modest stakes, and is comfortable judging a game by playing it rather than by reading its numbers. The expanding wild on forty lines does produce decent spins, the dice artwork is a pleasant change from the usual fruit, and the demo costs nothing to evaluate.
It is not for anyone who wants to make an informed comparison before playing. Three of the four figures you would normally check do not exist for this title, and the fourth — the jackpot — is named but not described. That is a legitimate reason to pick one of the studio’s Bell Link games instead, where all of it is on the record.

Our verdict on 40 Burning Roll
Good mechanics, no numbers at all
On the reels this is a perfectly reasonable forty-line EGT board. The expanding wild is the right mechanic for the shape — four positions converted at once, feeding a large share of forty lines — and the dice artwork gives the Roll series its own identity against the studio’s endless fruit.
But no RTP, no volatility and no maximum win are published for this game by anyone, and that is not a detail. It means you cannot compare it to its own siblings, let alone to anything outside the studio. The Mystery Jackpot, the one feature that could produce a result worth talking about, is named and then left entirely undescribed.
Play the demo — it costs nothing and it is genuinely the best information available on this title. If you like it enough to stake money, read the RTP off the information screen first. And if being able to check the numbers beforehand matters to you, 40 Shining Crown Bell Link is the same studio on the same board with all of it published.
