Razor Shark Jackpots slot by Push Gaming — game artwork

The original Razor Shark is one of the most punishing games Push Gaming has made. This edition does something unexpected with it: it adds five jackpot tiers and brings the volatility down to medium.

The tiers are fixed multiples of your bet, not a pooled progressive: Mini 10×, Minor 25×, Maxi 50×, Major 500×, Mega 5,000×, collected through Token symbols. That structure is the reason the game feels calmer — a chunk of the return is being paid out in regular, moderate jackpot hits instead of being saved for one enormous feature.

Two things to watch. The max win is disputed — most sources say about 11,007×, but one quotes the 5,000× Mega tier as if it were the ceiling. And the RTP ranges from 96.38% down to 85.39% depending on where you play.

The demo runs the full game on play credits, Token collection and jackpot tiers included. Worth playing specifically to see how often the lower tiers land — Mini and Minor at 10× and 25× are small, and how frequently they arrive is what makes this version feel different from the original. Top line pay11,007× total betMost sources report about 11,007× as the overall maximum. One review instead quotes 5,000×, which is the Mega jackpot tier rather than the game’s ceiling — the two are different numbers and are often confused.

More on the figures above. RTP builds, the five jackpot tier values, the 20-payline layout and the medium volatility rating are from OLBG, SlotCatalog and Casinos.com. The max win is genuinely disputed — roughly 11,007× in most accounts, with one review quoting the 5,000× Mega tier as though it were the ceiling. Both figures and the reason they differ are set out below.

How the game plays

Five reels, four rows, 20 paylines — the Razor Shark frame, unchanged.

What is new is the Jackpot Feature. Collecting Token symbols works toward five fixed prizes: Mini 10×, Minor 25×, Maxi 50×, Major 500× and Mega 5,000× your bet. Because they are multiples of your stake rather than a shared pool, they pay the same proportion whether you are betting 20p or £20.

That matters for how the game reads. A pooled progressive grows until someone wins it and is effectively unreachable for small stakes; fixed tiers are proportionate, which is a fairer structure for ordinary players even though the headline number is smaller.

The story behind the game

Released 3 June 2026 according to the trade coverage; our own catalogue records 27 May 2026, which is the usual staggered-launch gap.

The original Razor Shark is a landmark for Push Gaming and remains one of the games most associated with the studio — high volatility, a Nudge mechanic, and a reputation built on enormous but rare outcomes. Putting jackpots on it is a meaningful reinterpretation rather than a reskin, because adding fixed tiers necessarily pulls return out of the top end and spreads it across the session.

That is the trade here, stated plainly: the original’s extremes in exchange for something steadier.

Symbols and paytable

Symbol values are on the in-game information screen and scale with the stake. The jackpot tiers are the part worth memorising, because they are fixed and they are the game’s defining feature.

Mini — 10× betThe most frequent tier. Small, and its job is to keep the collection mechanic feeling live.
Minor — 25× betStill modest. Mini and Minor together are what make the game read as medium volatility.
Maxi — 50× betThe middle tier, and the first one that meaningfully changes a session.
Major — 500× betA substantial hit. At this point the jackpot is doing what the original Razor Shark’s feature used to.
Mega — 5,000× betThe top tier. Frequently misreported as the game’s max win — it is not; the overall ceiling is around 11,007×.

The last row is where most of the confusion about this game comes from. The Mega jackpot is 5,000×; the game’s overall maximum is roughly double that. They are different numbers measuring different things.

Five fixed jackpot tiers

Mini 10×, Minor 25×, Maxi 50×, Major 500×, Mega 5,000×. Fixed multiples of your bet, not a pooled progressive, so they scale with your stake.

🏦

Token collection

The jackpots are triggered by collecting Token symbols, which is the mechanic layered on top of the original Razor Shark frame.

📈

Medium volatility

A deliberate step down from the original. The regular lower-tier jackpot hits are what smooth the ride.

The Razor Shark frame

Five reels, four rows, 20 paylines — the structure of the original, carried over intact.

What we like

  • Fixed tiers scale with your stake. Unlike a pooled progressive, a 5,000× Mega pays 5,000× whether you bet 20p or £20.
  • Medium volatility on a Razor Shark game. That makes the title accessible to players who could never sit through the original.
  • 96.38% RTP on the top build. Comfortably above the modern average.
  • The tier values are fully published. All five, which is more than Push Gaming disclosed for Neon Cash City’s jackpot.
What to watch

  • The RTP spread reaches 85.39%. Reported as a German-market build, but it is eleven points below the headline either way.
  • The max win is reported inconsistently. About 11,007× in most accounts, with at least one review quoting the 5,000× Mega tier instead.
  • A lower ceiling than the original. Adding jackpot tiers has to be funded from the same return.
  • Medium volatility is not what Razor Shark fans came for. If you loved the original’s extremes, this is a different game wearing its clothes.

How Razor Shark Jackpots compares

Against Push Gaming’s own shelf, this sits between the studio’s high-volatility classics and its gentle 2026 run.

Four of the five sit within three hundredths of 96.35%, which again shows RTP is not how this studio differentiates. The jackpot tiers are what you are choosing here — no other game on the shelf publishes five fixed prizes.

Razor Shark Jackpots RTP, volatility and max win

Razor Shark Jackpots is published at more than one RTP. The spread here is wide and partly regulatory: the 85.39% figure is reported as a German-market version rather than a free operator choice. That does not make it better to play, but it explains why it exists.

96.38%the headline build
94.30%two points down, offered by some casinos
85.39%the German-market build — eleven points below the headline

The headline build is 96.38%, above the modern average and typical of this studio.

Below that, 94.30% is offered by some casinos, and a 85.39% version is reported for the German market. That last figure is a regulatory artefact rather than a free operator choice, but it is still eleven points below the headline and it is still a live build of this game.

With five fixed jackpot tiers in the maths, part of that 96.38% is being paid out through the Token collection rather than through ordinary line wins. That is the mechanism behind the medium volatility rating, and it is also why the overall ceiling is lower than the original Razor Shark’s.

As always, the in-game information screen is the only reliable reading for the version in front of you.

Bets, bankroll and session planning

Stake limits are set per operator. The useful point on this title is that the jackpots are fixed multiples of your bet, so a smaller stake does not lock you out of the top tier the way a pooled progressive would. One review’s $500,000 figure is simply the 5,000× Mega tier at that site’s maximum stake.

Playing on mobile

Runs in the browser on a phone with nothing to install. A 5×4 grid with 20 paylines is straightforward on a small screen, and the Token collection gives the game a clear visual progress indicator that works well in portrait.

Five things to know before you spin

  1. Check the RTP build before playing. 96.38%, 94.30% and 85.39% are all in circulation.
  2. Do not confuse the Mega tier with the max win. Mega is 5,000×; the overall ceiling is about 11,007×. Some reviews conflate them.
  3. Remember the tiers scale with stake. Fixed multiples mean a small stake is not excluded from the Mega, unlike a pooled progressive.
  4. Do not expect the original Razor Shark. This is a medium-volatility reinterpretation, and that is a design choice, not a flaw.
  5. Use the demo to see how often Mini and Minor land. The low tiers set the rhythm, and that is what makes this version playable.

Players who like the Razor Shark world but not its original volatility, and anyone who prefers fixed jackpot tiers to pooled progressives. If you specifically want the original’s punishing extremes, this is not that game — and it is not trying to be.

Razor Shark Jackpots demo and slot FAQ

Can I play the Razor Shark Jackpots demo for free?
Yes. The demo on this page runs the full game on play credits, including Token collection and all five jackpot tiers. No account, no deposit.
What are the jackpot tiers worth?
Five fixed multiples of your bet: Mini 10×, Minor 25×, Maxi 50×, Major 500×, Mega 5,000×. They are not a pooled progressive, so they scale with whatever stake you play.
What is the max win?
About 11,007× your bet on most accounts. One review quotes 5,000×, but that is the Mega jackpot tier rather than the game’s overall ceiling — a common confusion on this title.
What is the RTP?
96.38% on the headline build. Some casinos run 94.30%, and an 85.39% version is reported for the German market. Check the in-game information screen.
How is it different from the original Razor Shark?
It adds five fixed jackpot tiers and drops the volatility to medium. Funding those tiers from the same return means a lower overall ceiling and a steadier session.
How volatile is it?
Medium — agreed across sources. The regular Mini and Minor jackpot hits are what smooth it out compared with the original.

Our verdict on Razor Shark Jackpots

8.5/ 10

Razor Shark with the edges filed off, and that is the point

Adding jackpots to Razor Shark could have been cynical. It is not. The five fixed tiers — Mini 10× through Mega 5,000× — genuinely change how the game plays, and because they are multiples of your bet rather than a pooled pot, they pay proportionately whatever you stake. That is a fairer structure than most jackpot slots offer.

The cost is the ceiling and the character. At medium volatility and roughly 11,007×, this is a calmer, smaller game than the original, because the money that funds those regular tier hits has to come from the top end. If you loved Razor Shark for its extremes, you will notice.

Two things to get right before you play. The RTP ranges from 96.38% down to 85.39% depending on the market and the casino. And the Mega tier is not the max win — 5,000× is one prize inside a game whose ceiling is about double that, and more than one review has printed the smaller number as though it were the larger.

Check the information screen, and enjoy the most approachable Razor Shark there has been.
