Neon Cash City slot by Push Gaming — game artwork

An 8×8 cluster grid is a big playing field — 64 positions against the 20 or 25 of a conventional reel game — and Push Gaming uses the space the way it always has: cascades, cash collects and a jackpot layered on top of clusters rather than paylines.

The numbers are mid-table for the studio. 96.35% RTP is a touch above the modern average. The ceiling is 8,889×, which is modest next to Push Gaming’s own Jammin’ Jars at 20,000×.

The volatility is disputed. One source calls it high, another medium-to-high, and Push Gaming does not settle it. Given the ceiling is under 9,000×, medium-high is the more plausible of the two — but that is a reading, not a published fact, so both labels are on this page.

The demo runs the full game on play credits — the same 8×8 grid, the same cascades and the same jackpot element. Cluster games are hard to judge from a description because the cascade chains do most of the work, so this is one worth actually playing before deciding. More on the figures above. RTP, the 8,889× ceiling and the 8×8 cluster format are from Slotstemple and a Bettors Insider roundup, which agree on the numbers and disagree on the volatility label. Push Gaming publishes no public math sheet for this title, and the jackpot tier values are not published anywhere consulted — so they are not stated here.

How the game plays

Sixty-four positions in an 8×8 grid, and no paylines at all. You are paid for clusters — groups of matching symbols touching each other — rather than for anything travelling left to right.

Winning clusters then cascade: the symbols are removed, the ones above drop into the gaps, and new symbols fill the top. A single paid spin can resolve into several consecutive wins without another stake, which is the mechanic the whole format is built on.

On top of that sit cash collects and a jackpot element. Push Gaming has not published how the jackpot tiers are valued or triggered, so this review does not guess at them.

The story behind the game

Released 19 August 2026.

Push Gaming has been building cluster games since Jammin’ Jars in 2018, which remains the studio’s defining title and still carries the highest RTP on its shelf at 96.83%. Neon Cash City is a later, larger-grid take on the same idea: where Jammin’ Jars uses an 8×8 grid with a wild that walks and multiplies, this one leans on cash collects and a jackpot instead.

The neon-city theme is well-worn territory in slots generally. What is less common is seeing it attached to a cluster engine rather than a conventional five-reel grid.

Symbols and paytable

Push Gaming publishes the symbol values on the in-game information screen and they scale with the stake. The structural facts matter more here than the coin values.

8×8 grid, 64 positionsMore than twice the symbol count of a standard five-reel game, which is what makes long cascade chains possible.
Cluster paysGroups of matching symbols that touch each other pay. Position and direction are irrelevant — only adjacency matters.
CascadesWinning symbols are removed and replaced from above, so one stake can produce several consecutive wins.
Cash collectsA collect mechanic that gathers values on the grid. The exact rules are on the in-game information screen.
Jackpots — tiers not publishedThe game includes a jackpot element. No source consulted publishes the tier values, so none are quoted here.

The honest gap in that table is the last row. Several review sites mention jackpots on this game; none of them say what the tiers are worth. That is a real limit on what can be known before you open the information screen yourself.

8×8 cluster grid

Sixty-four positions, no paylines. Matching symbols pay by touching each other, which is what makes the grid feel alive rather than linear.

Cascades

Winners are removed and replaced from above. One paid spin can chain into several wins without another stake.

💵

Cash collects

A collect mechanic layered over the cluster engine — the part that turns a long cascade into a single larger payout.

What we like

  • 96.35% RTP is above the modern average. A solid headline figure for a grid game with a jackpot attached.
  • An 8×8 grid gives cascades room to run. Sixty-four positions means chains that a five-reel game structurally cannot produce.
  • Cluster pays are easy to read. No lines to trace and no direction to remember — symbols either touch or they do not.
  • Cash collects give the cascades a point. The collect mechanic is what converts a long chain into a meaningful number.
What to watch

  • 8,889× is a modest ceiling. Push Gaming’s own Jammin’ Jars pays more than twice that.
  • Two sources, two volatility ratings. High or medium-high, and the studio does not settle it.
  • The jackpot tiers are not published. A jackpot you cannot find the values of is hard to factor into a decision.
  • One of the two sources is a promotional roundup. Its wording should carry less weight than a dedicated game page.

How Neon Cash City compares

Against the other grid and cluster games reviewed here, Neon Cash City sits mid-table on RTP and at the lower end on ceiling.

Jammin’ Jars is the direct comparison and it wins on both numbers — higher RTP and more than double the ceiling. Neon Cash City’s case is the jackpot element and the cash collects, which Jammin’ Jars does not have.

Neon Cash City RTP, volatility and max win

The published figure is 96.35%, which sits comfortably above the modern video-slot average and is typical of Push Gaming’s range.

Both sources consulted agree on it, and neither mentions alternative builds for this title — though that is not the same as confirming none exist. Push Gaming does run RTP ranges on some of its games, so the in-game information screen remains the only reliable reading for the version your casino serves.

What the 96.35% does not tell you is the shape. With a jackpot element in the game, some portion of the return is being diverted into that pool rather than paid out in ordinary clusters — and because the tiers are unpublished, how much is not knowable from here.

Bets, bankroll and session planning

Stake limits are set per operator. With a cluster-and-cascade engine, the practical note is that a single stake can produce a long chain of wins, so the per-spin cost understates how much action you get for it — which cuts both ways when a chain stalls early.

Playing on mobile

Runs in the browser on a phone with nothing to install. An 8×8 grid is denser than a five-reel layout, so the symbols are necessarily smaller on a phone — but because clusters are read by adjacency rather than by tracing a path, it stays legible where a 243-ways game can get fiddly.

Five things to know before you spin

  1. Open the information screen for the jackpot tiers. They are not published anywhere public, so the game itself is the only source.
  2. Watch a cascade finish before judging a spin. On a cluster game the first win is rarely the whole result.
  3. Compare it against Jammin’ Jars before committing. Same studio, higher RTP, more than double the ceiling — the trade here is the jackpot and the collects.
  4. Treat the volatility label as unsettled. Two sources disagree; an 8,889× ceiling suggests the gentler reading, but that is inference, not fact.
  5. Use the demo for the chains. Cluster games live or die on how often cascades keep going, and that is exactly what a free session shows you.

Who this slot is for

Players who like cluster grids and cascades and want a jackpot element attached. If you are chasing a large multiple, 8,889× is low for this studio and Jammin’ Jars is the better-documented, higher-ceiling option on the same shelf.

Neon Cash City demo and slot FAQ

Can I play the Neon Cash City demo for free?
Yes. The demo on this page runs the full game on play credits — the same 8×8 grid, cascades and jackpot element. No account, no deposit.
What is the Neon Cash City max win?
8,889× your total bet. Both sources consulted agree on that figure, and Push Gaming does not publish the odds of reaching it.
What is the RTP?
96.35%, which is above the modern video-slot average. Push Gaming uses RTP ranges on some titles, so check the in-game information screen for the build your casino runs.
How volatile is it?
Sources disagree: one says high, another medium to high. Push Gaming does not publish a rating. The 8,889× ceiling is more consistent with the gentler label.
How does cluster pays work?
There are no paylines. Groups of matching symbols that touch each other pay, anywhere on the 8×8 grid. Winners are then removed and replaced from above, so one spin can chain.
What are the jackpot tiers worth?
Not published. The game includes a jackpot element but no source consulted lists the tier values, so check the in-game information screen rather than relying on a review.

Our verdict on Neon Cash City

8.3/ 10

A good cluster grid that its own stablemate out-points

Neon Cash City is a competent, well-built Push Gaming cluster game. The 8×8 grid gives cascades the space they need, the 96.35% RTP is above average, and the cash collects give a long chain something to build toward.

The problem is the company it keeps. Jammin’ Jars, from the same studio, carries a higher RTP at 96.83% and a ceiling more than twice as high at 20,000×. If you are choosing between them on numbers alone, it is not close.

What this game has that Jammin’ Jars does not is the jackpot element — and that is where the review has to stop short, because nobody publishes the tier values. A jackpot whose size you cannot look up is difficult to weigh, and it is also a plausible explanation for the lower ceiling, since a pooled prize has to be funded from the same 96.35%.

Play the demo and watch the cascades. If the chains feel good to you, the rest is a question of whether an unpublished jackpot is worth 11,000× of ceiling.
