The Crabbin’ For Christmas demo is the free, no-signup version of Blueprint Gaming’s festive money-collect slot — a 5×3 board with 10 paylines, Santa’s lost presents on the seabed, and a bonus that arrives roughly once in 125 spins, which is the most frequent feature of the six games in this batch. The trade is the ceiling: 2,500×, the lowest here by a factor of four. The default RTP is 95% with 93% and 92% builds in circulation. Play it free here.

Play the Crabbin’ For Christmas demo free
The Crabbin’ For Christmas demo runs the real game on play money — the same ten lines, the same crab collects, the same free spins. No download, no account, no deposit.
There is one design decision the demo makes obvious and no feature list does: the wilds only exist inside the free spins. In the base game there is no wild symbol at all. That changes what a base-game session actually is — ten lines of straight symbol matching with a collect mechanic over the top — and whether you find that relaxing or thin is a question only a hundred spins answers.

Crabbin’ For Christmas slot at a glance
How the game plays
Crabbin’ For Christmas is a five-reel, three-row slot with 10 paylines, which makes it by far the most conventional board in this batch — the other five games are cluster grids, pay-anywhere tumblers or 4,096-way boards.
Line wins pay first. BigWinBoard records the premiums — crustaceans, hats, life rings, traps and anchors — paying 20× to 200× the bet for five of a kind, with the card royals at 5× to 10× for five. On a ten-line game those are healthy numbers; 200× for five of the top symbol is more than Sweet Bonanza pays for twelve of its premium.
The wild is free-spins only. It substitutes for all paying symbols and appears on every reel, but it does not exist in the base game. That is the same structural decision Pragmatic made with Sweet Bonanza’s multipliers, and it has the same consequence: the base game is a stripped version of the real one, and the feature is where the design lives.
The bonus arrives roughly once in 125 spins on BigWinBoard’s figures, and a win lands roughly one spin in five. Two bonus buys are available. The stake runs from 10c to €20 — the lowest ceiling of the six games here.
The headline number is 2,500× the total bet. That is a quarter of Fishin’ Frenzy Even Bigger Fish’s and an eighth of Golden Shower’s, and it is the honest trade for a feature that turns up four times more often than most.
The story behind the game
Blueprint runs the Crabbin’ line alongside Fishin’ Frenzy as a second fishing-adjacent brand, and lists the family on its own materials as Crabbin’ For Cash and Crabbin’ For Cash Extra Big Splash. Crabbin’ For Christmas, released 30 November 2023, is the festive entry.
BigWinBoard’s reviewer made a point worth repeating: it is not a straight reskin of the games before it. There are crossovers, but there is also new material — which is more than can be said for a lot of seasonal releases, where the Christmas version is the base game with snow on it.
The setting is a seabed strewn with presents Santa appears to have lost over the side, lit by Christmas lights on the ocean floor, with a fisherman in a Santa outfit and a suitably twinkling soundtrack. It is not aggressively festive — the theme is light enough that the game plays perfectly well in June, which matters because a Christmas slot that only works for six weeks a year is a poor investment of your time learning it.
One practical note: Blueprint’s own game page for this title is no longer live on its site, so unlike Fishin’ Frenzy Even Bigger Fish we cannot quote the studio’s published build identifiers directly. The RTP ladder below is BigWinBoard’s, and it matches the ladder Blueprint publishes on its current titles.
Symbols and paytable
All values are multiples of the total bet across ten paylines. The symbol figures are BigWinBoard’s published values; the frequencies are from its game data panel.
| Crustaceans, hats, life rings, traps, anchors | The premiums. Five of a kind pays between 20× and 200× the bet — a strong top line for a ten-payline game. |
|---|---|
| Card royals | 5× to 10× the bet for five of a kind. The usual filler. |
| Wild | Substitutes for all paying symbols and appears on every reel — but only during free spins. There is no wild in the base game at all. |
| Hit frequency | Roughly one win in five spins per BigWinBoard. |
| Free spins frequency | Roughly one trigger in 125 spins — the most frequent bonus of the six games in this batch by a clear margin. |
| Two bonus buys | Both available from the base game. BigWinBoard notes the prices were not published at the time of its review. |
| Certified RTP builds | 95% default, with 93% and 92% in circulation. |
| Stake range and ceiling | 10c to €20 a spin. Maximum win 2,500×, with no published probability. |
What is not published: the probability of reaching 2,500×, the bonus buy prices, and a studio volatility rating — Blueprint’s page for this game is no longer live. BigWinBoard files it as medium/high and that is the only rating available.
Bonus features and free spins
A bonus roughly every 125 spins
The most frequent feature of the six games reviewed in this batch. Against Sugar Rush’s 323 and Golden Shower’s 279, this is a game where a modest session genuinely reaches the part you came for.
Wilds that only exist in free spins
The wild substitutes for every paying symbol and lands on all five reels — but never in the base game. The base game is ten lines of straight matching; the feature is the actual design.
A win roughly one spin in five
Combined with the 125-spin bonus rate, this is the gentlest distribution in the batch. It is also why the ceiling is 2,500× rather than five figures — the maths has to come from somewhere.
Premiums paying up to 200×
Five of the top symbol pays 200× the bet on a ten-line board. For comparison, twelve red candies on Sweet Bonanza pay 50×. The line game here is worth more than the format suggests.
A 95% top build
The same 95/93/92 ladder Blueprint ships elsewhere. The best version of this game returns less than the worst certified build of any Pragmatic title we have reviewed — the single biggest mark against it.
- A bonus roughly every 125 spins — more than twice as often as anything else in this batch, and the clearest reason to play it.
- A win roughly one spin in five. The base game keeps the balance moving rather than draining between features.
- Premiums paying up to 200× the bet for five of a kind, which is generous for a ten-payline board.
- Not a reskin. BigWinBoard notes genuinely new material over the earlier Crabbin’ games, and the theme is light enough to play year-round.
- A 10c minimum stake makes it genuinely accessible on a small bankroll, which suits the frequent-feature design.
- A 95% best-case RTP, with 93% and 92% builds in circulation — below the worst build of every Pragmatic game we have reviewed.
- 2,500× is the lowest ceiling in this batch by a factor of four, and no source publishes the odds of reaching it.
- No wild in the base game at all, so a session that never triggers is a plain ten-line slot.
- Blueprint’s own page for this title is no longer live, so the build identifiers we could quote for Fishin’ Frenzy are unavailable here.
- The bonus buy prices are not published anywhere, which makes it impossible to judge whether either is worth taking before you open the game.
How Crabbin’ For Christmas compares
This game trades ceiling for frequency harder than anything else we have reviewed. Figures from BigWinBoard except where marked:
| Game | Studio | Bonus arrives | Max win | Best RTP build |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Crabbin’ For Christmas | Blueprint | 1 in 125 | 2,500× | 95% |
| Golden Shower | Nolimit City | 1 in 279 (studio) / 1 in 129 (BWB) | 19,999× | 96.04% |
| Sugar Rush | Pragmatic Play | 1 in 323 | 5,000× | 96.50% |
| Gates of Olympus 2500 | Pragmatic Play | 1 in 443 | 25,000× | 96.52% |
| Eternal Diamonds | Pragmatic Play | 1 in 99 | 20,000× | 96.50% |
The Eternal Diamonds row is the one that spoils the pitch. It triggers its feature more often than this game — 1 in 99 against 1 in 125 — while carrying eight times the ceiling and a 96.50% top build. If frequent features at a good RTP is what you want, Pragmatic already does it better.
Where Crabbin’ For Christmas still has an argument is the stake floor and the shape of the base game. 10c a spin with a win every fifth spin and a bonus every 125 is a genuinely gentle way to spend an hour, and Eternal Diamonds’ base game — five red sevens across fifty lines for 3.75× the bet — is thinner than this one’s. That is a narrow case, but it is a real one.
Crabbin’ For Christmas RTP, volatility and max win
Crabbin’ For Christmas is published at more than one RTP. The same 95/93/92 ladder Blueprint ships on Fishin’ Frenzy Even Bigger Fish. It is worth repeating what that means in context: the best build here returns less than the worst certified build on any Pragmatic Play game we have reviewed. The in-game information screen is the only place yours is written.
| 95% | The default and best build, per BigWinBoard and confirmed in its review text. |
|---|---|
| 93% | A middle build, two points down. |
| 92% | The lowest in circulation — three points below the default. |
BigWinBoard records three certified builds — 95%, 93% and 92% — and states in its review text that 95% is the default with lower settings available. Blueprint’s own page for this game is no longer live on its site, so unlike Fishin’ Frenzy Even Bigger Fish we cannot quote the studio’s published build identifiers here. The ladder matches the one Blueprint publishes on its current titles.
It is worth stating the consequence plainly rather than burying it in a table. 95% is the best this game gets. Every Pragmatic Play title we have reviewed has a bottom certified build of 94.50%. So a player on Blueprint’s best version is getting roughly what a player on Pragmatic’s worst version gets — and if your casino runs the 92% build, you are three points behind that.
Over 1,000 spins at €1, the gap between 95% and 92% is about €30 in expectation. That is larger than most players’ entire session variance from bet sizing. The information screen inside the game is the only place your figure is written.
Volatility. BigWinBoard files it as medium/high and there is no studio rating available. The published frequencies support the lower half of that: a win roughly one spin in five and a bonus roughly one in 125 is a gentle distribution by the standards of this batch, and the 2,500× ceiling is the price of it.
Maximum win. 2,500× the total bet per BigWinBoard — the lowest in this batch by a factor of four. No source publishes a probability. At the €20 stake cap that is €50,000, which unlike most ceilings we quote is a figure an ordinary operator payout term would actually honour.
Bets, bankroll and session planning
The stake runs from 10c to €20 a spin per BigWinBoard, which is the lowest maximum of the six games in this batch. Every line pay, collect and the 2,500× ceiling is a multiple of that total.
Session planning here is the easiest of the six, because the numbers are both published and friendly. At one bonus per 125 spins, a 0.20 session reaches an expected trigger for about 25 in turnover. A win every fifth spin keeps the balance from draining while you get there. If you have ever finished 300 spins of a high-variance slot without seeing the feature once, this is the structural opposite of that experience.
The two bonus buys are the weak point, and not because of the mechanic. Neither price is published anywhere — BigWinBoard noted at review time that details would follow, and nothing has filled the gap since. On a game whose bonus arrives every 125 spins anyway, a buy has to be cheap to make sense, and you cannot judge that until you open the game. Check the interface before you decide, and weigh it against 125 spins at your chosen stake.
The decision that actually matters is the build. At 95% a 1,000-spin session at €1 expects to cost €50; at 92% it expects to cost €80. No staking plan recovers that difference.
Playing on mobile
A 5×3 grid with ten paylines is the easiest layout in this batch to read on a phone — five reels, three rows, large symbols and few enough lines that a win is obvious without tracing it. Against the 6×6 CollectR board of Pirots 5 or a seven-reel cluster grid, this is restful.
Neither SlotCatalog nor Blueprint publishes a build size for this title, so we cannot tell you the download weight. The 2023 vintage and the simple board suggest it is light, but we have not measured it and will not guess.
Five things to know before you spin
- Open the information screen and read the RTP before you stake money. The builds are 95%, 93% and 92%, and that screen is the only place yours is written.
- There is no wild in the base game. The wild substitutes for everything and lands on all five reels — but only inside free spins. A base-game session is ten lines of straight matching.
- The bonus every 125 spins is the reason to play this. It is more than twice as frequent as anything else in this batch. If you are chasing a ceiling instead, the ceiling here is 2,500× and you are in the wrong game.
- Check both bonus buy prices in the interface before using one. Neither is published anywhere, and on a game whose feature arrives every 125 spins, a buy has to be genuinely cheap to be worth taking.
- 2,500× at the €20 cap is €50,000 — unusually, a ceiling most operator payout terms would actually pay in full. Worth knowing when the headline looks small.

Who this slot is for
This is for a small bankroll and a long evening. A win every fifth spin, a bonus every 125, and a 10c minimum stake make it one of the gentlest games we have reviewed — and the 2,500× ceiling is the honest price of that. If what you want from a slot is to keep playing rather than to chase a number, the structure here is built for you, and the theme is light enough to work in June.
It is not for anyone comparing value across studios. The 95% top build is the problem that follows Blueprint everywhere in this batch: it is below Pragmatic’s floor, and the 92% build is three points worse again. Nor is it for anyone who wants a ceiling — 2,500× is a quarter of the next lowest here.
And there is a direct comparison that is hard to argue with: Eternal Diamonds triggers its feature once in 99 spins against this one’s 125, carries eight times the ceiling, and runs at 96.50%. If frequent features are the appeal, that game does the same thing on better terms.

Our verdict on Crabbin’ For Christmas
The gentlest game in the batch, on the worst terms
Everything about the design points the same way, and it is a legitimate way to point. A win roughly every fifth spin, a bonus roughly every 125, a 10c minimum stake and a 2,500× ceiling describe a slot built to be played for an evening rather than chased for an outcome — and in a batch containing a game where four spins in five return nothing, that has real value. The line pays are better than a ten-payline board suggests, the festive theme is light enough to work year-round, and BigWinBoard is right that it is not a lazy reskin of the earlier Crabbin’ games. The problem is the price of admission. A best-case RTP of 95% is below the worst certified build of every Pragmatic title we have reviewed, the 92% build in circulation is three points worse again, and neither bonus buy price is published anywhere. Worse for its case, Pragmatic’s Eternal Diamonds triggers its feature more often than this does, carries eight times the ceiling and runs at 96.50%. A likeable, well-judged little game that is simply outcompeted on the numbers.
