The nudge is the second half of that mechanic. If only one or two shields land on a reel, that reel can nudge up or down to reveal more and fill itself. It is a small idea, well used: a single shield on a reel is never simply a single shield, it is a reel that might be about to become five of them.

Wheel symbols are the trigger for everything else. When they land, a wheel spins and awards one prize per wheel symbol in view. That convention is now consistent enough across the studio’s 2026 catalogue to be worth learning. Gates of Olympus 2500 caps its multiplier symbols at x2,500 and pays up to 25,000×. Big Bass Vegas 1000 caps its money fish at 1,000× and pays up to 15,000×. Freya 1000 caps its wheel multiplier at x1,000 and pays up to 10,000×. In all three cases the number on the lobby tile is a component of the game, not its ceiling, and comparing two tiles by that number tells you nothing useful.

Norse mythology is well-trodden ground in slots, though usually through Thor or Odin. Putting Freya at the centre is a mild departure, and Pragmatic has dressed it in a cold silver-blue palette with an aurora and wooden longhouses — handsome, and quite deliberately backward-looking.

Read the two buy columns together and the pricing is not consistent across the slate. Freya’s premium option — twelve super free spins with an accumulating multiplier that can reach x1,000 — costs 200× the bet. Gates of Olympus 2500’s premium option costs 1,250×, more than six times as much, on a game whose bonus is not six times better.

Volatility, and an honest problem with it. The three sources do not agree, and we are not going to pick the convenient one silently. SlotCatalog files the game as high. BigWinBoard’s review text calls it “a highly volatile slot”. BigWinBoard’s own data panel on the same page says medium. Pragmatic publishes no rating at all.

Two of the three readings say high and the third contradicts its own article, so high is what we have put in the panel above. But the maths is genuinely mixed and it is worth understanding why the sources split: a hit rate of one in 2.93 spins is the behaviour of a low-to-medium game, while a bonus once in 302 spins and a ceiling at 1 in 20 million is the behaviour of a high one. Freya 1000 pays you constantly and almost never pays you much. Whichever label you prefer, that is the distribution.

Maximum win. 10,000× your total bet per BigWinBoard and SlotCatalog, at a probability BigWinBoard puts at 1 in 20,419,645 spins. For scale, that is twenty times less reachable than Coven Rising’s 5,000× in the same month. It is a boundary on the distribution, not a target, and the wheel multiplier of x1,000 in the title is the more realistic thing to be interested in.

Bets, bankroll and session planning

The bet range is 0.20 to 240 a spin per SlotCatalog and BigWinBoard, and that figure is the total bet across all ten paylines — every paytable value, shield value and wheel prize is a multiple of it, not of a per-line stake.

The number to plan around is 302, the average spins between bonus triggers. At 0.20 a spin that is roughly 60 in turnover for one expected round; at 1.00 a spin it is 302.
