The Gates of Olympus Super Scatter demo is the free, no-signup version of Pragmatic Play’s 28 April 2025 release — the board that took the series ceiling from 5,000× to 50,000×. It runs 96.50% RTP, a hit frequency of 27.78% (about one win in every 3.6 spins) and orb multipliers up to 500×. The Super Scatter symbol is the whole reason it exists, and the whole reason the ceiling moved.

Play the Gates of Olympus Super Scatter demo free
The Gates of Olympus Super Scatter demo runs the real game on play money: the same 6×5 grid, the same tumbles, the same orbs and the same Super Scatter. No download, no account, no deposit.
Demo it specifically to see how rarely the Super Scatter lands. The 50,000× headline needs four of them, and a few hundred free spins will calibrate your expectations better than any number in a review can.

Gates of Olympus Super Scatter slot at a glance
How the game plays
The board is six reels by five rows with no paylines. A win is eight or more matching symbols anywhere on the grid — position is irrelevant, only the count matters, up to thirty.
Winning symbols vanish and the rest tumble down with new ones filling in from above, so one paid spin can run through several tumbles. Orb multipliers between 2× and 500× drop randomly and apply to whatever win completes.
The Super Scatter is the new part: one or more of them, combined with four or more ordinary scatters, produces a payout. Four Super Scatters is the 50,000× condition.
The story behind the game
Gates of Olympus arrived in 2021 and became the most imitated maths model Pragmatic has shipped. Super Scatter landed on 28 April 2025 as the first board in the family to change the win condition rather than just the multiplier cap.
The series now runs in two directions: Gates of Olympus 2500 raised the orb cap to x2,500 for a 25,000× ceiling, while this one kept a 500× orb cap and found its 50,000× somewhere else entirely — in a symbol that pays on its own terms.
Symbols and paytable
Scatter-pays throughout, with the Super Scatter sitting outside the normal hierarchy.
| Pay anywhere | Eight or more matching symbols anywhere on the 6×5 grid, counted up to thirty. Position never matters. |
|---|---|
| Tumbles | Winning symbols are removed, the rest fall, new symbols fill the gaps. The chain continues until no new win forms. |
| Orb multipliers | Random values from 2× to 500× land on the grid and apply to the win that completes. |
| Zeus scatter | Four or more triggers 15 free spins. |
| Super Scatter | One or more, with four or more ordinary scatters, produces a payout on its own. |
| Four Super Scatters | The 50,000× maximum win condition. |
| Free spins multipliers | Orb values accumulate across the round without resetting — the single most important rule in the game. |
| Ante Bet | Costs 50% more per spin, makes scatters more frequent and lifts the RTP to 96.55%. |
No gamble ladder and no jackpot. The orbs and the Super Scatter are where everything happens.
Bonus features and free spins
Scatter pays, eight or more
No lines to study. Eight matching symbols anywhere pays, thirty is the maximum count, and the tumbles mean one spin can produce several wins in sequence.
Orb multipliers to 500×
Orbs drop at random carrying values from 2× to 500× and apply to whichever win completes. In the base game they are a bonus; in free spins they are the entire proposition.
The Super Scatter
The symbol the game is named after. One or more of them alongside four or more ordinary scatters pays by itself, and four Super Scatters is how the 50,000× is reached. It is the most specific win condition in the series.
Free spins that never reset
Four or more Zeus scatters award 15 free spins, and the orb multiplier total carries across the whole round instead of clearing between spins. A slow start that builds is worth more here than a fast one that does not.
Ante Bet
Pay 50% more per spin to see scatters more often and lift the return to 96.55%. It is the one lever the player controls rather than the operator.
- A hit frequency of 27.78% — roughly a win every 3.6 spins — which is generous for a game with a 50,000× ceiling.
- The accumulating free-spins multiplier is the best rule in the series: nothing you build is ever taken away mid-round.
- Pragmatic publishes a game page with the RTP and the feature rules, so the core figures come from the studio rather than a database.
- The Super Scatter is a genuinely new idea in a family that had been iterating on multiplier caps for four years.
- The Ante Bet is honest: it states exactly what it costs and exactly what it returns.
- Three certified builds — 96.50%, 95.50% and 94.50% — and the casino picks, not you.
- A 50,000× ceiling that needs four Super Scatters is a number most players will never come close to, however often the game shows it to them.
- The maximum stake of £240 a spin is a lot of exposure on a high-volatility board.
- Pragmatic does not publish a max-win probability, so there is no honest way to say how remote 50,000× actually is.
- The series is now crowded enough that choosing between four near-identical boards is a genuine chore.
How Gates of Olympus Super Scatter compares
The Gates of Olympus family side by side, which is the comparison most people actually want.
| Game | Released | Orb cap | Max win | RTP builds | Hit rate |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Super Scatter | Apr 2025 | 500× | 50,000× | 96.50 – 94.50 | 27.8% |
| Gates of Olympus 2500 | Sep 2026 | x2,500 | 25,000× | 96.52 – 94.50 | — |
| Gates of Olympus | 2021 | 500× | 5,000× | 96.50 | — |
| Sweet Bonanza | 2019 | 100× | 21,100× | 96.48 | — |
| Sugar Rush | 2022 | 128× | 5,000× | 96.50 | — |
Note what the table shows: Super Scatter has half the orb cap of Gates of Olympus 2500 and double its ceiling. The multiplier cap and the maximum win are not the same lever, and this family is the clearest place to see that.
Gates of Olympus Super Scatter RTP, volatility and max win
Gates of Olympus Super Scatter is published at more than one RTP. Pragmatic ships this game at three certified return levels and the casino chooses which one it runs. The Ante Bet is a fourth figure but a different thing — it is an option you choose, not a build the operator chooses for you. The reels, the paytable and the 50,000× ceiling are identical across all of them.
| 96.55% | With the Ante Bet active — it costs 50% more per spin and buys a slightly higher return. |
|---|---|
| 96.50% | The standard top build, and the figure on Pragmatic’s own page. |
| 95.50% | A middle build. One full point removed, with nothing on screen to show it. |
| 94.50% | The lowest build in circulation, two points below the top. |
96.50% is Pragmatic’s published figure and the top of three certified builds. The others are 95.50% and 94.50% — two full points between best and worst, chosen by the casino and invisible on screen.
The Ante Bet is a separate thing and worth keeping straight. It lifts the return to 96.55%, but it costs 50% more per spin to do it. That is a choice you make; the build is a choice made for you. The information screen inside the game shows which build you are on.
Bets, bankroll and session planning
Stakes run from £0.20 to £240 a spin, which is an unusually wide band. The Ante Bet raises whatever you have chosen by 50%.
On a board where the headline needs four Super Scatters, the top of that stake range is a great deal of money riding on a very specific event.
Playing on mobile
Six reels by five rows is a lot of grid for a phone, and Pragmatic’s solution is the same one it uses across the family: the board fills the width, the orbs scale with it, and the tumble animation is quick enough not to drag. The accumulating multiplier total stays visible during free spins, which is the one thing that had to work.
Five things to know before you spin
- Check which build you are on. Three certified versions run 96.50%, 95.50% and 94.50%, chosen by the casino. Two full points is a lot to leave to chance.
- Decide about the Ante Bet before you start. It costs 50% more per spin and lifts the return from 96.50% to 96.55%. You are paying to see scatters sooner, not for a materially better deal.
- Judge a free spins round by the multiplier total. Orb values accumulate across the whole round without resetting, so a slow opening can still finish well. The reverse is not true.
- Treat the 50,000× as a headline, not a target. It needs four Super Scatter symbols, Pragmatic publishes no probability for it, and most players will never see the condition.
- Use the hit frequency to set expectations. At 27.78% something lands roughly every 3.6 spins — generous for this ceiling, but the overwhelming majority are small.

Our verdict on Gates of Olympus Super Scatter
The best idea the series has had since the original
Four years of Gates of Olympus boards mostly moved one number — the orb cap. Super Scatter did something else: it added a symbol that pays on its own terms, and in doing so found a 50,000× ceiling with half the orb cap of Gates of Olympus 2500. That is a genuinely interesting piece of design.
The hit frequency of 27.78% keeps the base game from being a slog, and the accumulating free-spins multiplier remains the best rule in the family. The reservations are the familiar ones: three certified builds spanning two points, a maximum win nobody should plan around, and no published probability for it.
If you are picking one board from this family, this is the one with the most new thinking in it. Play the demo first and watch how rarely the Super Scatter lands.
